We've been watching
the world. Now it's
the world's turn to
watch us.

Wandizi is an African fashion brand born in Nigeria, built in the US — bringing the colors, craft, and spirit of the continent to people who refuse to blend in.

The name

What does Wandizi mean?

Wandizi is coined from the Igbo name Nwando — a name that carries warmth, identity, and pride. We shaped it into something new: a word that every tongue, in every language, can say.

That was intentional. African fashion belongs to the world — not just those who grew up with it. The name opens the door.

"We wanted a name that every tongue and language could pronounce."
— Kemka & Chinwe Nwabiani, Founders

Welcome to Wandizi — where contemporary style meets the rich, vibrant spirit of African heritage. We don't just create clothing; we design wearable celebrations of culture, unity, and bold self-expression.

Our story

Born in Nigeria.
Built for the world.

We grew up in Oguta, Imo State, Nigeria — surrounded by the incredible textile traditions of Igbo culture. The intricate patterns, the bold silhouettes, the way clothing carries history and identity. It was always there.

But when we came to the US, we noticed a gap. The global fashion landscape was missing something: the unapologetic, vibrant soul of our heritage. So we decided to build it ourselves.

Kemka studied Pharmacy and Chinwe studied Computer Science at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka — two paths that had nothing to do with fashion on paper. But the vision was always there, quietly waiting.

In 2018, Wandizi became real. Not just a clothing brand — a cultural bridge. We take the intricate textures, the striking silhouettes, and the majestic spirit of our homeland and craft them into premium, contemporary pieces for the global stage.

When you wear Wandizi, you aren't just wearing a garment — you are wearing history, loud and proud.
